QUALITY EDUCATION IN A CARING CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY

About our school...

I am sure you will enjoy your visit to our website.

All Saints is a small, friendly school that values standards and achievement but also seeks to ensure that the children enjoy their experience of school and develop their full range of talents.

We are extremely proud of all that goes on here.

As our website demonstrates, the children at All Saints are supported in their learning by dedicated staff, governors and parents.

All Saints Roman Catholic Primary School began life in the Church Hall at All Saints Church on Castlegate in Thirsk. The staff and pupils moved into the premises they now occupy in September 1967. The school is situated on Green Lane East on a campus shared with Sowerby Community Primary School and Thirsk High School, and serves the Roman Catholic parish of All Saints, Thirsk . The school has five classrooms around a central hall and there is a good sized playground, with the use of extensive playing fields during the summer months, when the weather allows. Fixed, large outdoor play equipment has been provided by the Friends of All Saints. The playground outside the early-years classroom has been fenced to provide protection for the youngest children. A kitchen adjoining the school provides hot lunches for those who wish to take one. A bus lay-by on Green Lane East enables those children travelling by bus to gain access to the vehicle safely, and there is a small car park for staff and visitors.

HOW TO FIND US

Persons travelling to the school from the direction of Carlton Miniott (A61 from Ripon) should turn right at the roundabout by Tesco Supermarket into Topcliffe Road. Coming from Northallerton through Thirsk town centre travellers will turn left at the same roundabout. Proceed along Topcliffe Road for less than a quarter of a mile before turning left into Green Lane East, with Sowerby Community Primary School on the corner. All Saints will be seen on the right, a short way along the lane. Travellers from the A1 via the A168 should turn off at the Thirsk exit and proceed for about a mile along Topcliffe Road, passing Thirsk High School and Sowerby Community Primary School on the right before turning right into Green Lane East.
